Ever wanted to own a unique collectible, specifically a McDonald’s-themed one? Well, you certainly will now as McDonald's Singapore is releasing 2,000 exclusive Grimace Digital Collectibles for free.

Happening on the week of 21 August, these digital collectibles are powered by Bandwagon Labs and in collaboration with local NFT artist The Hidden Walls.

For the uninitiated, digital collectibles are similar to NFTs (non-fungible tokens) where these items are virtual, limited-edition and completely unique. You might be wondering why people collect them, and it's mainly for the satisfaction of owning a unique virtual asset. Holders of these Grimace Digital Collectibles will get more than just satisfaction though, as they can be used to unlock exclusive McDonald’s treats in the future.

The 2,000 unique digital collectibles will be available for free through the McDonald's app, but are limited to one redemption per McDonald’s account and cannot be traded or transferred.

If you’re keen on getting your hands on it, make sure to set your alarm and prepare yourself for some swift tapping as they’re expected to be fully redeemed in a snap.

How to Get the Exclusive Grimace Digital Collectibles

Step 1: Select the ‘Grimace Digital Collectibles’ section on the McDonald’s app to be re-directed to a homepage

Step 2: Connect through web3auth or the MetaMask app to get a Digital Collectibles wallet.

Step 3: After successfully logging in, tap on the 'Mint Now' button to generate the unique Grimace Digital Collectible.

Successfully minted collectibles can be viewed on the McDonald’s app by heading over to the ‘My Collection’ section.

For the exact date and time the collectibles willl be released, stay tuned to McDonald’s brand platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and the McDonald’s app, and join their budding Web3.0 community on Telegram (live on 14 August).
