Chinese dramas have been on a roll recently and apart from Lawrence Wong's drama, Girlfriend, which has been garnering an impressive number of views, we have another drama recommendation for you.

We are loving a new Chinese romantic comedy drama, Intense Love (韫色过浓), and here's why we think you should add it to your watchlist too.

#1 Cliche but addictive

Intense Love tells the love story between a genius doctor and an actress who both refuse to have their marriage arranged by their parents, yet ultimately realise that love is destined. Actress Su Jin Bei has beauty that can defy the heavens and with her popularity on the rise, she is used to being the center of attention. Zhou Shi Yun is a smart doctor with good looks so women flock around him but he doesn't bat an eye. Instead of the usual overbearing CEO that falls for the woman, it's the actress who takes the initiative in love this time round.

The plot of the drama sounds cliche but what's a good drama without some cliches to set the tone, right? We loved seeing the female lead take charge and the guy being all shy in this drama. Plus, cliches in a romcom are what makes viewers swoon so we are definitely not complaining!

#2 An easy and relaxing watch

Although dramas with an intense and mysterious plot can keep us on our toes wanting more, watching a sweet romantic comedy like Intense Love is a great stress reliever.

The drama made us smile, laugh and squeal and we honestly think it's an easy, enjoyable watch that anyone can just binge watch.

#3 Cute lead couple

Zhang Yu Xi who plays female lead Su Jin Bei and Ryan Ding who plays male lead Zhou Shi Yun are not only compatible in terms of looks. Their chemistry in the drama is sizzling as well!

The main leads of any drama play an important part and we are glad to say that both actors managed to make us want to see them together more. If you like dramas with good looking leads that your eyes can feast on, this is the one to watch.
